Is there anyone out there that is a Top Indian Head Cent AND Barber Dime Collector

How could LMS pass this coin up (coming to a Heritage auction soon)?

1909 1C Indian Cent--Struck on 1906 Barber Dime

of course if he used it in his registry he would loose 4 points on the Indian side since it is only a MS65 and because I doubt it is red (even if it did cross from NGC) and another 2 on the Barber dime set side.

What a COOL coin. Sounds like a showdown might develop for this one! image

As for price estimates, I would let the big time error collectors to estimate that one, but if I HAD to guess, I would say $35K-$50K (since a 43 lincoln on a mercury dime just hit $25K, this is a 3 year spread in dates and it is a much earlier date).

Since errors usually go off last, I am guessing most of the deep pockets are already asleep when things like this hit the auction.

of course since it is now a battle, the sky is the limit.

I think it went cheap, so one of the big time error collectors probably picked it up for his inventory.
