SPOOF ALERT!! A new slant on eBay phishing scams

Got an alleged eBay unpaid item reminder in my personal email inbox last week. It was for all practical purposes accurate on the item information, graphics, etc., etc., except for the fact that the item had been purchased from a credible seller and already paid for, with a prior shippping confirmation from the seller. I inadvertantly started to respond to the notice, and quickly changed course on a self reminder to check MY MESSAGES @ eBay. No trace of a similar notice in MY MESSAGES was the tip off, so I changed my eBay password immediately and even went back to my email account and changed that password immediately. Pretty slick, considering it wasn't the usual Second Chance Offer spoof. I'm rather curious about the source of the spoof, even though I know eBay will never reveal that. My first inclination was a possible underbidder for the item, which wasn't all that high value in a relative sense...

For all of you eBay spoof posse members, please keep this one bumped!
