1995 Lincoln Cent PCGS 65 RD Struck through late stage die cap Error coin

This is an awesome looking coin--struck so late in the process that the die cap began imparting the details of the die again. Then,as it was struck, the die cap loosened and rotated, and the coin was struck at least 3 times. Nice details. Unique example, as are most errors, but this one has some very nice features--since most struck through die caps seem to impart a mashed side, instead of something like this.

$600 takes it.

  • $600? Isn't that a little steep? I haven't followed errors for some time and if this is what errors like this are going for, I KICK myself for selling out when I did!

I looked at Freds site and david lawrence for comparison and for whats offered, the price is very reasonable--Its not a usual error, and its a nice combination of errors on 1 coin. I thought it was high too until i checked other error coins. It is what it is.....

  • Thanks for the info. I was an error fan, still am, but they are so darn exspensive now that I had to quit them.
