Actually I did offer him a % refund if it doesn't slab... it should make it into a holder, it's a very small nick, I'd even go as far as calling it a hit... It was sold under those terms... damaged or not, Either way I'd take back any coin I sell (Although it's never happened)... I have 2 buyers for it in it's present condition anyway if the buyer were not happy with it.....
You should see what some harshly cleaned hard to find VAMs sell for deuce... A little education goes a long way....

Speaking of education- how does the claim "only the fourth one found" relate to a four figure price? Wouldn't it be more responsible to state or market as "fourth one reported"? Please, educate me. I've only been in the VAM market for 12 years.
Thanks Wolf... As you know, with with as large as this break is, I'm surprised this was overlooked for the past 20 years... In fact, overlooked isn't the word to use here as it should have been easily found and accumulated up until now. This just goes to show you how rare this VAM actually is.

I would have paid four figures for that...only if there were two decimal places in the four figures

Not a gash. It is raised based on the shadow. Doubt it's solder but just a typical collar break.
