Anyone have any dealings with them? Specifically, buying raw and then having it graded? Some of their stuff looks almost too good to be true. Thanks

Now to be clear, I was not unhappy with my card and the seem to have happy customers as evident of their feedback.
Just my thoughts....
Description: This HOFer's rookie card from this extremely popular set also displays: spectacular even clean borders, "pack-fresh" smooth sheen, great factory colors, flawless original finish, gorgeous crisp photographic imagery and no creases. The corners are sharp with tip touches. The back of this amazing card is SPOTLESS and has crisp edges.
Description: This beautiful card also displays: spotless clean borders, "perfect" factory clean colors, breathtaking original sheen (wow), razor sharp focus and no creases. The corners are reasonaby sharp with tip touches. The back of this awesome card is clean with a tiny tone dot on bottom half (barely even seen) and has crisp edges.
Something just doesn't seem right. They've got good feedback and they guarantee its authenticity and unaltered state. I just can't place my finger on it. I'd love to bid on these cards but something is telling me not to.
Anybody have any thoughts?
bottom right corner on the spahn does not seem to be as "sharp" as the other three!
personally, i see it as an over-flowery description of questionable accuracy.
add a marginal scan & i think you have the formula for disappoinment

Sometimes I do.
What kind of prices do they have? If they are reasonable buy a few with a credit card and if they turn out to be fake you can just send them back. You are covered through your credit card.

FWIW, I bought a raw 1957 Ted Williams from them that they advertised as near mint, with the "corners are reasonably sharp with tip touches" description. The card graded a 7.
It's a plus that they guarantee their cards are unaltered. That will help you get a refund if there is an issue.

<< <i>If they think a card is near mint, they will advertise it as such. Otherwise, be careful and watch the description.

Almost guaranteed the cards are trimmed. I bought a "beautiful" 1956 Van Brocklin and it was way short when I received it. They refunded my $ but I wouldn't touch anything they sell w/ a 10 foot pole.

They really play up all the decent aspects of the card and neglect to mention the bad.
If a card is truly close to near mint, they will list it as near mint. otherwise, it's a lot of fluff. i occasionally have looked at their listings and have learned to only consider the ones that say near mint. if it doesn't say that, then it isn't as nice as it may appear.
