NewP - Wichita Show

Attended the fall show in Wichita today... would have liked to have been able to make it to the ANA show in Denver, but the additional drive was beyond me.
It was a decent show, though. Good turn out, considering I thought the ANA show would have been a spoiler. Picked up a few nice coins for my collection. Here's a couple:
1745 LIMA type George II Shilling. The tone is really much better than the scan suggests.

1758 George II 6 Pence. This one was really neat. There's a lot of luster remaining in the fields. I found it at a US coin dealers table, and it was priced like he didn't really care for it...

I also picked up a decent 1883 gothic florin and a couple of light side coins.

Post the others too....

I love it when I find a dealer who considers it all "foreign junk" and prices accordingly.

There were only two non-US coin dealers at this show. One had a full inventory of sweet coins. I felt bad, because I spent a lot of time looking over his coins, but I just couldn't reach the pricetags he wanted for the pieces I was interested in...
Here's the Florin I picked up from the second table. It's a decent coin for the price I paid. It was priced between XF and UNC in the case, but after a conversation with the gentleman (who really knew a lot about his coins), he came down to VF money... which for the type is fairly large gap.

<< <i>WOW! superb coins, thanks for sharing! I especially like the Florin, and was wondering if you or someone can give me a ballpark of what that type coin runs in XF-AU? I would love to have a very nice looking UK silver coin as a type piece, and I find those designs fascinating. thanks! >>
Well, I don't so much know what the market dictates on these, but I know that a fair value in Krause would be somewhere between 90 to 120 in that sort of grade, for a standard type example. I would think you could find a nice XF in the lower range of that spectrum pretty easily. AUs can be all over the board.
If wybrit stumbles across this thread, he could probably offer far more informed opinions. I just don't have a lot of experience with gothic florins, and I hate to fall back on Krause.
