help with a Kellogg's card needed

My two test submissions of 1974 Kellogg's cards yielded all PSA 9s and 10s. As a result, I plan to submit the rest of my set. Two of my cards, however, have what appear to be smudges. On the Allen card below, the largest "smudges" are mostly along the bottom edge, but it has "smudges" elsewhere as well.
When I looked at these under magnification, however, they did not appear to be smudges but rather minute particles caught within the grooves of the film Kelloggs used.
So, my question is what would be the best way the try and remove these particles, if that's what they are? I'm weary of using some kind of brush, no matter how soft, for fear of scratching the film.
Has anybody else experienced this too?
Thanks in advance for your feedback.

<< <i>You might try compressed air, or if you have an air compressor, even better. >>
sounds good to me. If using a compressor start a good distance back from the card and work your closer if needed.
Dont forget to hold on tight

i think those kellogg's cards are pretty durable...
i'd use a q-tip, and if the "stains" are stubborn, perhaps add a drop of rubbing alcohol.
