Notta bad start to the NY/Boston series....

12-3, a great start even though I expected a win in Game 1 with Jason Johnson on the mound for the BoSox. I like how the Yankees never let off the throttle and continued to work throughout the game. Leads up to 2.5 in the East.

The Ponson implosion has begun. This one may wind up being 12-11.

Bosox first to go to the bullpen...this could spell their doom? Unless of course Ponson is left in too long and gives up golf balls.

Agree 100%. I can't see how the Yanks would even want him around after this latest debacle. He's a total bum and too fat to pitch effectively anyway.

I smell Ponson being released after this tragedy
  • I watched him throughout his tenure in B-more. He's Gahbage.

I was wondering why he's been so quiet lately. What a true fan he is!

I know Murcerfan really busts on ARod but as a Yankees fan, Im sure its because he wants him to do well.

I cant speak for every Yankees fan but I would love to see ARod pull out of his funk and perform like the player he is. I dont want him gone and would like him to be a part of that team.

I like whatever Damon and Abreu are drinking! Wow! Abreu is a perfect fit for that lineup. It's like he was made to be a Yankee. Damon is proving to be worth every penny of that contract...at least this year. Damon is no longer a Yankees killer but a Red Sox killer!
And you can't say enough about Cano. Wang's and Cano's performance this year is making a lot of people eating crow.

Now, 3 more games....what a great weekend it's gonna be!!!

    Go Yankees!

  • The Red Sox will win 3 straight to take the series just like they won 4 straight in the ALCS in 2004.

Sox don't have balls to stick with the Yanks this year. Their pitching is awful and if not for Big Papi, they'd be in third place behind the Jays (which is where they will probably end up anyway). If the Sox can't beat the Yanks with Ponson on the mound, a 5-game sweep seems possible.

Ponson needs to go on a diet and understand that he is a MLB pitcher. He is not focused and dedicated, and was not in Baltimore. He's a loose cannon.
Proud of my 16x20 autographed and framed collection - all signed in person. Not big on modern - I'm stuck in the past!

Ponson is done. They designated him for assignment today.

I say goodbye. He was useless.
