Coins, stamps, currency..............NOW, cards.
Most grading services have already admitted it. eBay
is full of listings, mine included, that say things like:
"This is an ideal lot for someone who wants to gamble
in the crack-and-resubmit lottery."
"This card is almost a lock for a bump on re-submit."
It is here, it is now, nothing can be done about it.
