BEWARE!

There are some 1968 and 1969 Topps baseball rack packs on ebay right now that are total counterfiet. Some of these were on a table at the National Convention last month. The cellophane is not the correct cellophane, the header card was a high quality reproduction copy and the crimmped seals were not Topps issue. A few collectors have e-mailed me what I thought, so I'm just letting everyone know to stay away from these as Topps regular issue rack packs. Of course, they still may be worth to you what you want to pay for the cards in the sleeves showing, but they are not real rack packs. Good luck, Steve

It's amazing how people are even bidding on these bogus racks. They are about as authentic as all those "grocery" cellos from the early 1970s that were mistakenly graded by GAI as authentic. STAY AWAY!!!

The heads up is appreciated but does it really matter if they are real or fake? This hobby isn't about investing, it's about making friends.

At least some bidders have retracted their bids, but these racks are as phony as a $3 bill. I'm surprised the auctions haven't been pulled by ebay yet. What a joke! This is on par with any of the "nedsk" or "paoutdoorsman" auctions of the past, IMO. image
