I'm thinking about buying a box of this. Does anyone know what the difference is between the East, Midwest and West boxes? Can you only get the McHale rookie in the East boxes?

Yes. There was a basic national set, with Bird, Magic, Kareem, Erving and the like, plus cards from the various regional sets mixed into those packs, depending on where you lived.

Lots of Celtics and Bullets and Hawks around here. I had to track down the Vinnie Johnson and Laimbeer rookies seperately in the heyday of my beloved Bad Boys.
