What'd I get?

I bought this card because it looked cool, and was of a relatively well known player. The ebay auction title says "Legendary Cut Jackie Robinson Card PSA GEM. MT. 10." So it's a gem mint card, Jacie Robinson, does the LEGENDARY CUT have anything to do with the card? Thanks in advance.

  • That is a nice card. If you don't mind me asking, what did you pay for it?

I think it was the name of the set. A very limited number of inserts randomly packed in boxes of the set actually contained cut autographs of the players featured, hence the name.

    Nice card at any rate.

I am actively buying MIKE SCHMIDT gem mint baseball cards. Also looking for any 19th century cabinets of Philadephia Nationals. Please PM with additional details.
  • Only $3. Should I have paid more?

Well, it cost $5 to grade the card (at the least for us common folk), so you already beat the system right there.

Other copies of this card, ungraded, are avalible on Ebay for Buy It Now prices between 49 cents and $1.50.

Pretty card, but probably not an investment, especially since it's not the version with the cut signature.

    Nice pick up!

Heck, ya can't even get a happy meal for that!

Did you scan the item yourself? If so, ya might want to consider cropping the pic before final scan.

    thanx for sharing

  • Thanks guys! I didn't scan the card myself, I would have if I had it in hand. Just picked up the auction a couple hours ago. I'll post more pics when I get the coin in hand. Thanks again!

Coin in hand? Force of habit Eagle? LOL

These are probably not gonna be worth a ton - the seller had a few with a bin in the 7 buck range - no takers.

You paid a penny with 3.25 shipping? Not a bad deal - unless I missed something.

Still, a very nice card of a great HOF'er.

  • Well, can't teach an old dog new tricks. Coins are still on my mind, no matter what. Cards have become somewhat of a second hobby to my coins. Cool to have something to collect when you just can't find that last coin you're looking for.

Its a nice card. Legendary Cuts was the name of the set. It had some High dollar auto's and was smoking hot a few years ago. The auto's still bring in some big bucks. For any PSA 10 of a HOFer, $3 aint too bad. Nice pick up. Joe
