Off Topic Question about Game Used bat

Does anyone have a resource to show what type of bat a player has used?

Just curious.

Thanks,

Glen

I can give ya a start:

MastroNet Reference and Price Guide for Collecting GU Baseball Bats (2001)

BATS: Professional Hillerich & Bradsby and Adirondack, 1950-1994 (1995)

Also any of the Collectibles tomes like the Standard Catalog of Sports Memorabilia - Krause, e.g.

  • Thanks Mike.

Do you have any of these? I was curious what bat did Robin Ventura use with the White Sox and then the Mets.

Any help on this is appreciated.

    Thanks,

I have always felt zanebats (Paul Zane??) on eBay to be very helpful. You may want to contact him -- he may even have one.

    Good luck

  • go to gameuseduniverse.com - your answer lies within!
  • Robin Ventura could have used a Rawlings (RV23, 225s), LS125 (P72) or a ew others, but these were his main weapons of choice. Are you interested in buying one?

Like southerncards said, gameuseduniverse.com is the best source available at the moment. However you have to subscribe to the site at $44.95 a year to get access to the bat records, or wait until the update to Vince Malta's fine guide to game used bats comes out in October.

Ventura used a lot of different types of bats. In the past I've had Coopers and Louisvilles but I know he's used others too.
