Suggestion for raw vintage dealers?

Ok, I'm thinking about starting a 1950 Bowman set. I'm not looking for high grade, and I'll probably start with much of it raw. While I'm only thinking about it right now, I'll take the plunge if I can find a dealer with a decent lot or starter set. Any suggestions for web sites I should check out? I'm probably shooting for a 4-5-6 range, and raw is fine. I just want to collect and appreciate the artwork of the cards.

Nice choice. Those and the 52 bowmans are a reasonably priced set and look great.

There is a nice sized lot on ebay, but i dont know if the condition is good enough...check it out either way....

If you want the 4 - 6 range, it's going to cost you a pretty penny to start out from scratch.

Personally, I wouldn't do bri's link because most likely you end up with a ton of bad cards and probably doubt a majority will be even 4s. There are dupes and "Some cards do have creases and all have some corner wear." I would think that money could be more wisely spent elsewhere.

I would suggest slowly accumulating smaller lots of 4 and 6 cards via ebay. While you will not get a mass purchase discount, you will be able to maintain your minimum standards and quite possibly picking out a higher end once in a while.

    Good luck!

I think I would have to consider just buying some
that are already in PSA4+ holders.

As we all know, there often is only grief in buying
raw cards from sellers who know as much as we
    know.

I hate that seller. I've asked him several times to quit mis-listing his junk under graded, I search packers cards under graded and he has it spammed up.

Last year I bought a crease free lot. He meant no extra charge for the creases.

Thanks guys. I'm looking for dealers that might have stock, but maybe my only hope is ebay.

Maybe I'll bid on this, instead.

Contact Roger Neufeldt at Sports Memories in Oklahoma. You can do a google search for Sports Memories and it will give you his number. I don't collect Bowmans but I seem to remember he has a nice supply of them in the grade you are looking for. He is a nice guy to deal with as well.
