Question: Card game UNO with sports teams info needed..

ok with 3 teenage kids..they tend to play alot of games. A favorite is the card game UNO.
Well...here in MA I saw a diffeerent version for the Celtics..Red Sox and Patriots...I assume the Bruins have a set also.

My questions...

1)does anyone else have different teams in their area?
2) being an officially licensed product...would PSA grade these..as they grade other playing card sets??
3) if you do have these in your area...what's the selling price?

It would almost be fun to start a complete master graded set!!

I had never seen them before your post. I have attached a photo I found online of the Mets

Here is also a link to a toy store that has many variations of the Uno game listed

I did a quick look and saw the Mets, Phillies, Patriots, Red Sox and I am sure others. They also had University of Michigan (did not look like any players just buildings).

I have not seen a full set but I believe there is a set of the White Sox & Astros combined from the World Series. I have seen the Ozzie Guillen single card.

  • I did a little research too...there seems to be many sets.
Online they sell for $15-$20 deliverd though..

The sets that I saw were all $6.99 each.
It's cheap enough...I should go buy them out and hope they are worth something..

Now..if we can get PSA to grade them...it's a no brainer...lol

    I'll put in the request.

Nice lookin' cards. How long have they been making them? I wonder if Kirby made it on a set...probably not...
  • the game itself has been around since the early 90's..I believe..

But the sports cards versions I hadn't seen..although the did have Nascar and WWF Wrestling versions back then...

Maybe have to dig a little deeper here..

I just searched past and present eBay auctions and Googled Uno Kirby. I only found a Nintendo Uno game with a "Kirby" card!

Otherwise, if there is a Twins set, I'd be grabbing at it! Thanks for sharing the news.
  • I just ran a search and found everything from Knicks, Steelers, Yankees, Sox (White and Red) along with the AL and NL all stars. Alot of them will have a .29 bid with 10.00 shipping, but still a pretty cool item to have........
  • yah..seems everyone is jacking the S&H on these sets...

They are small enough...they should be able to ship priority for under $5....and maybe even 1st class for $3+ ....

Not to mention...it's a really cool game to play with the kids!!

I use to play Uno in the late 70's so I know it has been around before the 90's.
