T206 - Can anyone tell if this is real or not from the pics?

A gentleman sent me these pics and wanted to know my opinion. It looks legit to me at first glance, but I am no expert on these. Oddlyl enough, the one thing that came to mind was that wierdo with the fake Honus Wagner who spouted off some specifics. "Piedmont blue back and the factory #" weren't printed on reprints.

Just curious if you can give me a definite yes or no...or even a likely yes/no.

Is that your card? If so - have you taken a 10x to it?

Take a look at the black borders - do they look like solid lines or photo dots?

I'm thinking - why counterfeit a card like that - it's not even nice enough to be from a reprint set?

Though, nothing surprises me.

No it's not mine, if I had access to it I would loupe it, unfortunately I don't.

I don't know what to look for via visual-cues on the 206's. I don't know why anyone would fake that card either, but I'm with you Mike, nothing surprises me anymore either.

Was just curious if there were any dead giveaways on T206 (this one in particular) that give it away as fake, or real for that matter.

not too many o'leary fakes out in the market. maybe trim jobs or alterations. based on what i know of T206's, that card is real.
