Really poor ethics w/this hobby on Ebay

Hi all,
I have been back in the hobby for about a year now and I am just so disappointed with a few of my
transactions on Ebay. I am not a big time buyer or seller. I haven't gotten screwed on any major
transactions, but the dishonesty I have seen is just SAD. Had a dealer try to sell me a tampered
PSA 9 card recently and I got a full refund only after I stated that I would file a claim. Just today,
another dealer shipped a card that was not as 'shown' on the auction. This might be an error,
but I don't think so. This was a 7.00 PSA 9 card. Thanks to this board I have the knowledge to
protect myself.
Just wanted to vent. Then again, there are still GOOD people out there.
Final note. There's nothing like buying at a show and to inspect the card in hand.

chose to do business with, you are pretty safe on eBay.
The challenge for new buyers is finding those dealers;
many do not find them in time, and the hobby is being
degraded substantially because of it.
Once somebody gets burned, it is hard to prop up their
excitement about the hobby. eBay could fix it, but has
chosen not to.
