  • He had a very productive career, and if he hadn't been a Bolt I would've been a bigger fan of his.

When I saw the title of the thread the first thing that came to mind was Griffey Jr. What a shock that would have been !

Seau had a superb career. Its great to see him hang it up as a Charger. He was that franchise for so long it was only fitting.

Hold the phones! Seau's retirement lasted all of four days, as he signed a deal with the patriots.

Wow that retirement sure was a good call.

I guess the greed overcame his good sense of judgement to hang it up and retire in grace.

Wow, does this cause me a rooting conflict. I've always been a semi fan of Seau and I'd like to see him win a ring, but the F'n Patriots???? I can't root for him if he signed with them. If he really wanted a ring, he should have signed with somebody who actually had a chance.

Retire in grace? That would've happened pre-Seau in Miami era. Now, why not stick around and try to win one with a team that has a legitimate shot?
