Have you seen a PSA tag like this before?

So I'm digging through stuff I obviously haven't dug through in years and came across this gem. What caught my eye wasn't the obscene drop in worth since I purchased it but the tag in the PSA holder. The lettering looks skinnier and almost like it was laser printed on. It was still in the bag with the eBay seller's ID on it. Has anyone ever seen a tag like this before or know anything about eBay user RNaka?

Here are a scan of the Miles (in question) and a card that I personally got back from PSA (Lester).

Here's the one I'm talking about:

And here's what the normal tag looks like:

Oops. Sorry. Wrong photo. Here's the normal tag:

I appreciate any input.

That was one of the flip styles PSA used years ago. I have a couple like that too.

  • Was it just an experiment? You know how long they used these for?

It seems like they would be awfully easy to fake with a printer. Of course, all I know about computers is that they don't respond well to being tossed out a second-story window.
  • It was an expirement that to my knowledge last only a few months, many collectors didn't like the look at it(as you said) looked to easy to fake. I have 2 in my collection with that same test font as well.
