Adding some cards in my registry and

I came across three that could not be added. I got a message stating:

"An automatic email has been sent to Set Registry customer service. Please allow 1 business day for the spec number to be added to the set composition before attempting to add the item again. Thank you. "

In everyone's experience with this type of problem, is customer service "right on it" as the message states or will it be something where I have to keep contacting them?

I dont know because this is my first attempt at adding cards and dealing with this problem

Thanks

Matt

As I write this Im hoping the powers that be are listening....last night, for at least the 4th or 5th time in the past month I attempted to add a card to one of my sets where the card was part of the set but it wouldnt accept it as being a known cert #. None of the previous problems have been attended to, so I am not holding my breath on this one either.

PSA people, if you are out there.....RESPOND !!!!!!!!!

You are not going to believe this !!!! Less than 10 minutes after writing my response I received an email regarding the error I tried to enter last night.....Im sure there has to be some wize old proverb that would be appropriate to quote right now, but I just dont know what it is !

Whether coincidence or the intervention of higher powers were at work here it doesnt matter....bark at the moon tonight, it just may work.

This happened to me a few weeks back. It was right before National so it took about 4 business days. I sent in a front and back scan to the email addresses stated. They fixed it no problem and were really nice in the email. I think the scans help expediate the process.

Yeah, it happened all the time to me when adding recently graded material. Give it a few days and try again! It should be ok!

edit: In fact, if I remember it also happened when trying to add certain 1/1's to my set(s) also, but I was able to add them all in a day or so later! So, don't worry ! image
  • The problem occurs if it is the 1st graded card of an issue...or the 1st card graded in a set.

(ie. there may be dozens of star cards in a set graded...but if you grade any other card in a set that hadn't previously been graded...it takes awhile for them to catch up with the data entry in CA)

Yeah, all the ones I tried to add and wouldnt work were the 1 of 1 type.

  • I added 2 first graded cards to a set the other night and got the same error. I was able to resubmit them less than 24hrs later. So in my case the email worked. Also, you usually need to wait 24 to 48 hrs before adding newly graded cards to a set.

    Red,
try again tomorrow. I am usually able to add my cards later that evening, but definately the next day.

First thing is to wait until the cards show as shipped. If they show as shipped they usually can be added. I quit trying to add stuff right away when I get my grades, even though I'm itching to do so.

Second, if it says the cert isn't valid for that set, the email is sent and I've usually been able to add them within 24 hrs, depending on the time of day I've tried it. So usually 1 full business day is enough and it'll work the next time.
