You be the judge! Trim job?

Look at the picture below. Does the 2nd and 3rd card look trimmed to you?

  • Unless the holders are different I would say they are not as snug as the 1st and last scan! Also take a look at the lines that run into the bottom right corner of the scan, not consistant!

Looks chopped to me - How did they get 10's!!!

They definitely look shorter, but since the cards sit loose in the holder, do any one of them look like they are bowed if you turn the cards on their sides? This might explain the variances in appearance.

I am actively buying MIKE SCHMIDT gem mint baseball cards. Also looking for any 19th century cabinets of Philadephia Nationals. Please PM with additional details.

This is why I only buy cards that fit snugly in the holder these days. I hate card doctors image
"My father would womanize, he would drink. He would make outrageous claims like he invented the question mark. Sometimes he would accuse chestnuts of being lazy. The sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament. Our childhood was typical. Summers in Rangoon, luge lessons. In the spring we'd make meat helmets. When we were insolent we were placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds - pretty standard really."

Funny though, if you look at his right hand in the 4 cards, the first card his hand is almost touching the boarder. The rest are space all over the place. I would think its just acceptable size differences. JMO

Did a lot of these come from the same dealer? The reason I asked is I checked the certification numbers around the certs 40488215 and 31669161. In both cases there were Wild Card Brett Favre cards (among other cards) that were rejected for trimming. That seems like a pretty big coincidence.

Before we "rush to judgment" and jump to conclusions, we should keep in mind that it's very hard to gauge the condition and dimensions of a card via a scan. I would wait until I can see the actual cards in my hands before I pass judgment and I urge the good denizens of the PSA forum to do likewise.

Haven't we learned our lesson from the LAPD framing OJ Simpson?
