Ebay Store selling question w/ new fee hiking coming

I have forgotten about how the new fee hike works for Ebay stores. Currently an item I am trying to sell for $4,000 costs me 2 cents per month to list. With the new fee hike, I know it will cost 6 cents, but it will actually cost more. Will it cost the same as a weekly auction for an item that's $4,000??
Running an Ebay store sure takes a lot more time than a person would think!

It will remain as stated in the old schedule.
The new fee schedule will take the FVF to 10%, from 8%.
Store listings go from 2-cents to 5-cents, below $25.00;
and, to 10-cents over $24.99.
The fee hike does not affect me in any way that I cannot
easily deal with. I think.
Consolidating some items in the same listing is one way
to mitigate any damages.
The key will be to get as close to the $24.99 number on
each listing, without going over un-necessarily.
Selling a $10.00 single item with free-shipping would be less
profitable under the new scheme. But, placing 2 or 3 like
items in the same listing at $19.88 thru $24.99, solves
the problem. (This will probably work best during the gift-giving
seasons.
If you have been selling for a while, you should have
some records that show what kind of combos the same
buyer tends to go for. Just combine those items, hike
the price, and keep experimenting until the answer
becomes obvious.
Only a few of my family's stores sell cards, so I will
have access to lots of different-product outcomes and
will post them here. We do not expect to know what
the real impact of the fee-hikes will be until after the
holiday season.
The used-clothing sites, my relatives' biggest chain
of stores do not expect any problems under the new
plan. They get the stuff practically free, so the only
expense is listing..... and their time. (24/7).
I am not worried. I may open some more stores, and
try some different products. The key is to get the items
for almost free. Not easy, but it can be done, if you
work it full-time.
