Did anybody else catch this one on eBay? An MS-65 taler from 1618......absolutely stunning. Unfortunately not making its new home at my place, but nevertheless it is nice to admire.

    Yes, I watched it close. It was a Stunner!

    It went well above what I would have been looking to spend. I knew it would as an MS-65...

    The initial BIN was $1000, which was a very realistic price given the pedigree and condition.

    I concur. I spent the weekend reimaging my talers and roubles, so I will see what I can do about sharing some the pics in the next week or 2. The before (from a scanner) and after (from a digital camera) make for interesting comparisons.
