Paris, Ontario Coin Show report.

This was my first coin show and overall experience was a good one! There was only one dealer that got "snappy" with me when I took out one of the 2x2's out of the binder to take a closer look. Also I wasn't surprised by the vast amounts of Grayside material, but I was surprised (and a little disappointed) by how little DarkSide coinage was out there. Out of 15-or-so tables, only 5 had world coins in separate boxes/binders, and only 1 person had pre-1900 mexico (my primary focus).
That one person received pretty much all of my business today. He was a nice dealer from Niagara Falls (can't find the business card he gave me!!! Argh!) with a selection of spanish cobs, as well as some later stuff. I ended up buying 1782 1Real, 1789 Half Real (I have a weird feeling about this one. Check out the pictures and please tell me what you think), 1814 Half Real, 1874 50Centavos (is that "7" double-struck?), and a !!!NICE!!! 1814 8 Reals minted at Guadalajara Mint. I had a few more bucks set aside to spend at this show burning a hole in my pocket, so on the way out I picked up a polish/russian 10 Zlotych/1.5 Ruble (I told myself to stop buying outside of my main focus, but it's easier said than done).
