does anyone have a scan of a decent graded 1941 goudey?

I know that this set is the ugly duckling of all sets but for some reason I like it. I have a psa 6 but have never seen a higher grade and need to know what to look for. thanks.I have included my scan.

Sorry, I can't see your image, link looks to have been corrupted.
Closest I could find is this PSA 6 from Lelands last year. Madec had some 7's (or maybe an 8) a few auctions ago but it's no longer on his site.
I've been working on this set in PSA 5/6 for about a little over a year. They don't come up often (but demand is low) and rarely any higher than PSA 6- when they do it gets ugly. Last time I checked there wasn't an SMR on the set, but 5's go from about $100-200, depending on how strong they are for the grade and which color variation.
The production value on this is horrible, centering is often bad to miscut, and rough cuts are common. They didn't put a lot of effort into this issue, and it shows. Grading is all over the place but the key things to look for are centering, edge cut, and chipping along the borders.

that worked. Looks pretty solid for a 6 on this issue, rought cuts can be a lot worse.
Best of luck on the set, you'll need patience!

There are only 16 7's and 16 8's- the #1 registered set has a rating of under 5.00 with 2 7's in it. It's not a set you're going to add to your list of ones completed in 8 or better, that is for sure. On one card the highest graded is a 5, another card the best there is (so far) is a 4.

    Nice cad Anthony!

The Moncrief that dtsa was showing looked stronger except for the centering. And your scan is a lot closer, bu the corner on the Moncrief look better.

Are you familiar with 1977 Topps Mexican FB cards? On those it seems they almost throw a dart at the board when assigning grades. Does this set also seem as fickle?

I know nothing about football cards.
'41 Goudey's typically have very rough cuts, and psa doesn't seem to downgrade from them. The key is to differentiate between rough cuts and edge and corner wear.
I've got about 50 cards from this set so far (looking for 132, 33 x 4 different colors of each) and am just starting to get a handle on how to grade these.

I would gladly pay 5-10x the top end price for most of the cards on that list, if not all.
Suffice to say it's way off.
