a question on some German coins...

I just acquired a few German coins and I'd like some info on them.

1905 Deutsche Reich 1 pfennig mint mark A
1895 Deutsche Reich 1 pfennig mint mark F
1949 Deutsche 50 pfennig mint mark D
1949 Deutsche 50 pfennig mint mark G

Any info on these coins will be greatly appreciated...I will try to get some pictures of them as soon as I can.

Both of 1949D and 1949G are one year type of Bank Deutscher Lander. The price is a little higher than BRD type.

In 1948, "Germany" was still in a state of political flux following WWII. The Western occupation area began issuing coins in the name of the "Bank Deutscher Länder" (Bank of the German States). By 1950, the Western powers had given up reaching an agreement on forming a united Germany, so coins with a more-or-less identical design began to be made but with the wording changed to "Bundesrepublik Deutschland" (Federal Republic of Germany). 50 pfennig Bank Deutscher Länder coins were only made in 1949; they're slightly more expensive, in equivalent condition, than 1950 ones:

Germany (BDL) 50 pfennig 1949D: 75¢ in VF, $4.50 in EF.
Germany (BDL) 50 pfennig 1949G: 75¢ in VF, $5 in EF.
compare with:
Germany (BRD) 50 pfennig 1950D: 50¢ in VF, 75¢ in EF.
Germany (BRD) 50 pfennig 1950G: 50¢ in VF, $1.50 in EF.

As for the two Imperials:
Germany 1 pfennig 1895F: 25¢ in Fine, $2.50 in VF, $6.50 in EF.
Germany 1 pfennig 1905A: 20¢ in Fine, $1 in VF, $3.50 in EF.

I think you need a 20 century Krause catalog for world coins collection. You can also go to Germany ebay to check the live market.
