i just got on for my 24th birthday. where is an easy place to go learn to use it well? a place where i might find something cool but really but also learn the difference in signal etc. any suggestions?

    >>Easy<< LOL...I would say to go to the beach = easy digging :-)
    Try a play ground "tot lot" = easy digging ___You don't need to go deep.
    Try your own yard, learn how to dig in grass and not make a mess :-)
    ALWAYS fill in your holes.

    As mentioned, try your own yard or a nearby park, first, to familiarize yourself with the machine. Then ask yourself what you wanna find. Old coins? Go where old coins were carried around and changed hands. Sidewalk strips in the older parts of town, church yards, old parks, and so on. Jewelry? Beaches and swimming holes are often good.

    Woodchip play grounds. Lots of different targets, easy recovery. You learn quick, foil, pull tab, zinc cent,etc. & you end up with battery money. The best part.... every now and then you get.... image
