Though it's made with a bunch of commons, you gotta admit, that's pretty darn cool.

Anyone here good enough to zoom in and make a pattern of which cards it takes? I would buy a couple micro sets and make one. What if you did it with the regular Topps cards, you could cover an entire wall. That is simply amazing.

    Holy crap that's nice image

Good ideas Allen, when you say "entire wall" I'm thinking of the local arena, and get some kids involved image

Amazing! This guy could make more then the price of the artwork by selling the pattern.

one of you computer guys and pixel counters can surely blow it up and decipher the cards. I mean they a 90's Topps I think we all have seen enough of them to recognize them by the smallest blur- haha. We could all chip in an offer them a price for the pattern.

    Great work.

I dont know how I feel about the mention of autism though. My fiance works with autistic children and is extremely dedicated to them, as well as autism awareness and education amongst the public. The auction mentions autism but doesnt really explain if the proceeds are actually going to any group. If in fact the proceeds are going for the cause great, but if this is a scam or someone trying to piggyback their name and peddle their wears without actually having involvement in charity then it concerns me.

  • Sorry bri2327,

I do need to be more specific next time.
I am a father of a young autistic boy who passed shortly before his sixth birthday.
I do nothing but raise money for autism education in the northern New Jersey area as I am fully aware of the struggles each family goes through.

The third annual David Cronin Memorial Golf outing will be posted shortly at this web site http://www.alpinelearninggroup.org/events/default.asp We raise about $100k a year on this one

Outher events will be The Comedy Love Call, to be broadcasted on Comedy Central on October 15th to raise money for startup autism schools. We expect to raise over $1M on this night alone. The first of the 166 mosaics will be auctioned here.

This particualr drive is for a school that has not even opened its doors. A group of parents are looking to buy an education program and asked if this can be used as one of their fundraising initiatives.
So, no name, no 503c, just parents needing money for their kids.

And for everyone else... It's much harder then it looks . 1st one took a month to complete.

Here is the pic from the auction

It is certainly an eye catching piece, I'm sure it looks much better in person than in the photos. Good luck with the auction.

    rcronin...

Very cool. Several years ago I thought about making posters like this, but all of the copyright/trademark issues scared me away. For example, do you need permission/licensing from the Babe Ruth estate (managed by CMG Worldwide) to legally market something like this?

    Just wondering.

how the heck did he do that? do you just stand their and put a card up and walk 10 feet away and go......nope! and put up another card?
isnt their a program where you can download all of the images and it will put them in order for you?
