What are the best books on seated coinage?

Dennis88Dennis88 Posts: 5,797 ✭✭✭
I'm talking about general book. I already have the white book about Seated Dollars, but are there more specialised books out there who cover all the series, or just one?? I also know the Bowers book about Silver Dollars, but that also covers all other silver dollars.. I'm looking for one which only covers the seated series....

Thanks,

Dennis

Half Dimes: The Complete Guide to Liberty Seated Half Dimes by Al Blythe
Dimes: The Complete Guide to Liberty Seated Dimes by Brian Greer
Quarters: The Comprehensive Encyclopedia of U. S. Liberty Seated Quarters by Larry Briggs
Halves: The Complete Guide to Liberty Seated Half Dollars by Randy Wiley and Bill Bugert
Dollars: The Bowers book, plus the Weimar White book
Trade Dollars: The Bowers book, plus the Willem book
All: The Gobrecht Journal Collective Volume (Volumes 1 - 4), they're working on Volume 5.

    Hope this helps.

I have the Red Book of Double Eagles from Whitman. On the back cover it has a list of future titles, including the Red Book of Liberty Seated Silver Coins.

I don't see it on Whitman's website, but if you'd rather wait a year or so (maybe) for it to be published, it'd probably be much cheaper than buying all the individual books (and cheaper, since several of the individual books are out of stock at most numismatic booksellers).

Yes the Whitman book will be cheaper, but it won't be nearly as comprehensive.

To RichieuRich list I would also add

For dimes the webbook by Jerry Fortin (Dimesguy ?)

And the Gobrecht journal volumes are excellent but they do not replace the other books. If you have the other books you could get by without the Gobrecht Journals, but if you have the Journals you still can't get by without the other books.
