Can't raise insurance if card grades higher than expected

Ok... I sent a Super Bowl I full ticket into PSA a couple months ago. The ticket looked to me like it would be a six or a seven, with the slight possibilty of an 8. There are no Super Bowl I fulls graded higher than a 8. I insured the package for like 3000 dollars. I checked my grades online and the ticket got a 8! I am not complaining by any means. I was very happy, but this is my question. I called the PSA reps and they wouldnt allow me to insure the package for more, now that the package is worth over 10k.

they said that it was too late. thoughts?

With registered and insured for $3000 the USPS will handle your package VERY carefully. I think everything will be cool.

Wow, congrats! Those things are really taking off I guess.

I think you are cool with registered as well, I wouldn't worry too much about it, but definitely would be happy once it did arrive!
  • Yeah and thanks! I got it today and everything was cool. I just thought of the potential problem. I mean, a grade or two could mean 10s of thousands in value for some cards. I would think it be feasable to add on more insurance after you see the grades, but it all worked out in the end!!
