TO already broken down: Scared to play Seahawks

joestalinjoestalin Posts: 12,473 ✭✭
"my hammy is tender my hammy is tender"...already TO with the drama. Too much of a wuss to play the conf. champs..sure its only
pre-season, but this is what TO is all about...TO and TO only. I can't wait until he is in a cast, so we can give him a sharpie and he
can just sign it all day long.

Is there anyone on the Cowboy's who wants to win a title? Yeah you are right Drew, this year is going to be sick!

Agreed. Fair enough if he truly does not want to make the injury worse, Bledsoe seems to back him on this but as it is these guys have not connected with pass paterns and their timing is way off. Not good for Cowboys fans.
  • Stalin-The Hawks aren't anything special. They were just lucky enough to make it out of the weaker NFC to the Super Bowl. Hell, when they faced the Giants had Jay Feely not missed 3(THREE) GW field goal attempts the Giants would've won. In that right there, it shows they shouldn't have even been in the SB. I'm a Giants fan, and the Giants weren't good enough for the Super Bowl last season.

He and Garica put up major yards all season back in 2002 and the bucs defense killed him! They still play that highlight on bucs pregame...you
know the one, where TO is going to make a catch and a bucs defender hits him and just takes the ball away and goes the other way for 6! LOL, TO
fears the bucs defense, that won't be good for Cowgirls fan....if TO even makes it that far. A few other teams have a bullseye on his back! I
always enjoy the Tuna getting this brains beaten out, but this year Im going to enjoy it even more after they took TO.

I think playing with an injury in a preseason game would be thoughtless and inconsiderate of the team. I'd say sit it out and heal up til the real football starts.

A player is no good to the team if he's screwed for the season.

Now this Colbert finger wag turns into a hats off to you sir, if TO is just faking it image

    stalin-

your mindless rants are getting less enjoyable. Calling out TO because he's sitting while his hamstring heals is just idiotic.

As far as the seahawks getting 'lucky'? I won't even honor that with a response.
  • Hey Joey... TO fears the Bucs defense... well the Bucs defense FEARS the PATS OFFENSE. I would make a comment about the Bucs offense.. but... i am not too sure they have one.

It is preseason.. why should TO risk potentially hurting himself worse? What about teams that make the playoffs sitting out their main players for the last game of the season. Wait.. your team wouldnt know anything about that huh.

LOL The Patsies offense?? Urr you mean Tom and..urrrr...urrrr, I can't remember who is left? Old man Dillon and a bunch of rookies. You know
if you would of came to our house it would of been 28-0 the other way. Patsies have nothing, besides the weakest divison in football.

This is an awful lot of chatter from a fan of a team with 1 title in 30 years. TO will be fine. How quickly people foget how the man played lights out in the superbowl not even fully recovered from the broken ankle. I was not a fan of his back then but I did admire his courage and effort.

Hate to break the news to you joeyboy, but the Cowboys are a better team than the Bucs this year and with TO they have a shot to win the NFC. The Suckaneers will finish anywhere from 7-9 to 9-7 and maybe squeeze out a wildcard where they will promptly be knocked out in the first round, just like they were last year when they actually overachieved as a team.

yeah one title in 30 years but more playoff births recently than the cowgirls..I mean have you all even reached the playoffs lately? Talk
about a dry spell! Heck its so bad that the guys from your last championship are now in the hall!! The cgirls are sooooo overrated this
year it isn't even funny. I will enjoy watching this house of cards collapse!

Yeah they reached the playoffs in Parcells first year. Are you saying the Yucs will finish with a better record then the boys? If so thats laughable at best. All I hear is the bucs defense is so great. They were great a few years ago, not anymore they are old. They need an extra man on the field just to push Derrick Brooks around in his wheelchair.

It's just a pre-season game not the SuperBowl. Doesn't he usualy miss the first pre-season game. I know he missed the Eagles last year. Him not being at pratice just gives the younger guys more reps. We all know what T.O. can do. Stalin are will you be willing to do a Sig bet on the Cowboys and Suks game.
    Go Cowboys!!!!!!!!!! image

Yeah maybe TO can afford to skip a practice or a game, but what about the other 10 guys? You don't think they would feel more
prepared if everyone was on the field? Thats ok, its all about TO. He needs to rest up so he can be healty for the camera and do his
celebrations and cash his paychecks. What a waste.

  • Wow Joey.. you dont know who plays on the Pats? Well.. guess a bunch of no name players are way better than the Bucs. 28-0 no excuses lil boy. And you and this typical crap "they play in a weak division"... sorry who has played a tougher schedule each year?? Do i need to dig that all back up??
Go crawl back under your bed fair weather fan.

    Ring count:
    Pats 3

To be fair to Kevin and Derrick Brooks I want to make one thing clear. I like Derrick Brooks, he's a good guy and a GREAT player. I live in Tampa/Saint Pete and have been to plenty of games. I also like to collect his cards but his career is winding down.

I still dont think The Bucs will be better then the Cowboys but the NFL is strange. A team can be terrible one year and great the next. All signs appear to point in the Cowboys favor this year because of the off season moves and the young players being in the system for a few years now. Their defense will be in the top five and the offense shouldnt be to far behind.

As far as the bucs go, I dont believe in Gruden. He won the superbowl in his first year with Tony Dungy's team. All Gruden did was add a little spark to the offense and the defense did the rest.

    Matt
  • joestalinjoestalin Posts: 12,473 ✭✭
Dungy was a great coach, but he doesn't have the balls or the brains to get a team to the big dance. The bucs had a championship defense
for much of his tenure there. All he had to do was get the offense going a little bit..but he didn't. They would lose 10-6 and 6-3. Thats a waste.
Gruden came in and suddenly the offense was putting up 30 points. That had nothing to do with Dungy. Gruden wasn't afraid to get in
people's face and to sit a Key or Sapp. He also had the balls to throw the challenge flag, one thing Dungy didn't have..and it cost us games.

We now see that Dungy went to one of the most talented teams in the league and what does he have to show for it? Nothing. He hasn't
even been to a super bowl with arguably the best offense in the league and a darn good defense.

I know know, a great guy..so is Brooks and Warrick Dunn, but it takes more than that to win championships. Gruden has it and Dungy
    doesn't.

    Thanks

Gotta wonder why Dungy still hasn't won a super bowl. He had by far the most talented team last year, and they rolled over like stuck pigs to the Steelers.

He's a great guy, and did wonders for reviving football in Tampa, but as far as winning a super bowl....

Oh, if Gruden's going to get hammered for taking 'dungy's team' to the super bowl, wasn't that 'gruden's raiders' that he played in the super bowl?
  • lawnmowermanlawnmowerman Posts: 19,477 ✭✭✭✭
Actually I have to disagree. Gruden doesnt have it. If he did the Bucs should have had at least another title. The team Tony put together won the superbowl and as I said with a little life added by Gruden. I agree Gruden helped out that sorry offense but the defense was the reason they won it all. Tonys team, Tonys "D".
