Isiah is at it again

This has got to be the biggest train wreck in the history of pro sports. I would say it's the Lions, but they've sucked forever and nobody cares about them anyway (expect for me and probably a couple other poor schmucks on these boards). But the Knicks fiasco, in my mind, has no precedent when you consider the size of the market the team plays in and the importance of the team to the health of the league.
So now they sign Jeffries to some kind of salary cap-busting deal which assures that the next GM won't be able to make a single move until about five years into his tenure. Why is Isiah still allowed to make personell decisions? Why can't Dolan just say 'enough is enough' and either a) cut him loose, or b) limit his role in the organization to that of being the head coach?
Can anyone remember EVER seeing a team with this much money being this messed up? In any sport?

Isiah still makes decisions because Dolan is a dope. Dolan cant say enough is enough or cut him loose because of the same reason as the first question. And no, no team in any sport has been this messed up.
I mentioned it a while back, but will say it again. If I were any of the former Knicks who have their jerseys hanging from the Garden I would respectfully ask the team to remove my banner so I could take it home until such time the team deserves to be associated with my name again. I will go to a WNBA game long before I ever set foot into the garden for another Knicks game. Top to bottom they have become a disgrace.

I'm a Lions fan, so far be it from me to dog on another team's front office (I'm also a Pistons fan, so I hate to be hard on Isiah), but everytime I turn around it's gotten worse. We're left wondering: How far does the rabbit hole go? Have the Knicks bottomed out, or will Isiah find a way to make the team even worse in the next six months? He's just a spectacularly bad GM, and I'm amazed that there's anyone around who would still be willing to pay him to run a team.
And I feel you when you talk of boycotting the Knicks. I'm a Lions fan, but I officially went on hiatus after Millen got a $30M contract extension. My rule is that I won't care more about a team's success then the guy who owns the team-- period. And since it's clear the Fords don't really care about winning then I refuse to really give a damn either. Wake me up when either Millen gets fired or Ford Sr. takes the dirtnap; until then I'm not interested.
As bleak as it looks, there are some coulds -
Eddy Curry could be better - lots of centers improved with age, he'd still barely be out of college...
Marbury and Francis could become a dynamic backcourt... When was the last time we had this kind of scoring potential at guard? I hate Poisonbury, but those guys can get hot and fill it up... Isiah will play a different offensive style, and hopefully these guys have a little heart and something to prove.
The kids could improve.... So many youngsters still... Lee, Frye, Robinson, Curry, and Crawford (the only guy who seemed to get MUCH better last year, if only in spurts b/c of PT).. The rookies looked OK in Las Vegas, and Isiahs track record with draft picks is actually pretty good.
My prediction - a better record (impossible not to almost), more exciting games, a rebound year for Francis and Marbury under Isiahs free reign, and possibly a low playoff seed in the east.
Herb Williams would have won 35-40 games last year as coach - I think they match or better that this year. Too many selfish guys still to be a great time, but too much talent to be the Team Titanic of last year.
Go Knicks, whoever is in charge. What am I gonna do, pull for the Lakers?
That being said, this team is an absolute disaster - Stern has even gotten involved and Dolan wants nothing to do with it.

Nope, this one takes the cake. One team cancer after another, and the worst executive in professional sports at the helm.
