Heritage...Thoughts...

I think Heritage and others provide a valauble sevice to our hobby. I sincerely believe that Heritage and all involved would benefit from the input of this board.
We are the customers and major Co's. spend time, money and effort to find out how to please us.
We all do business with those that have what we want.
what are your suggestions as to how those who strive to meet our needs could improve?
Who knows, they might be intersested and pay attention. I'll bet my money they will. jws

They do pay attention on here, especially when someone came on here ranting about having indisputable proof that his coins were switched by Heritage.image

Er; If memory serves me correctly both the Co. and the Gentleman resolved the issue in an honorable manner. I would go as far as to say the party in question admitted his mistake. jmo. jws

I've done quite a bit of business with Heritage. Overall, I'm very pleased with the results. I have had to call twice to check if my coins had shipped. They hadn't, and it had been over two weeks. They then shipped FEDEX Overnight. I would have prefered USPS Priority. They also need to improve their pics.

Good, because my opinions can definitely be bought.

I like Heritage. There are certainly aspects of their business they can and should improve. Overall B+.

Seems most have a presence here. Steve Whatsizname from Heritage weighs in now and then, Paul Song, Pistareen and Photog, Cameron Kiefer from ICG, all the bigs are here. What we want from them is coins. What they have for us is coins. It's all good.

When it comes to big coins and auctions they are the best.

  • I realize they're a very large organization, and despite that, I've had transactions handled pretty quickly. My only problem with them is that they can be somewhat depersonalized and I've had a particularly hard time with consignments. I doubt I'd ever consign to them again. Additionally, I requested they take me off their mailing list when I was ill. When I recovered, I asked them for a recent catalogue and not only did they ask me to pay for it, they essentially ridiculed my even asking them for it. Doesn't leave a good taste in the mouth. I think I've spent more than enough money there and consigned enough coins in the past that I didn't need to go through any of that. I guess I'm just not a big enough fish for them to give a damn.

They have been exceptionally good to me especially when the Los Angeles Kings are in town! Their hockey seats are pretty nice!

I phrased the question wrong. Sorry.
I do agree Heritage does many things right. I should not have mentioned a specefic Co.
What I meant to ask, and did a bad job; was how can all who are involved in selling coins better serve their customers?
What do we need to tell all who would sell us coins?
    Sorry for the confusion. jws

10 years ago these guys had more foresight than anyone, and they are being duly rewarded.
