Sorry if someone already posted about this...
Does anyone think it's wrong for industry experts to enter and repeatedly win these types of contests? I think the whole point of the contest is to let customers/dealers try their hand at being an authenticator. For professional authenticators to enter totally ruins it for everyone else. We already know they are (usually) better than the rest of us since they do it for a living. The first grading contest was won by Derek Grady and now another Mastro expert won this year's auto authentication contest. I didn't enter it because I don't really collect autographs but I just think it's wrong for the pros to keep winning this contest. At least they should have a seperate catagory for the experts to participate in.

I'm with you. These people do this for a job - they make their living doing so. But I guess the question is where do you draw the line? If Mastro is out, are autograph dealers out? What about sportscard dealers who deal with modern, certified autograph cards? I do definitely agree with you, in theory, but I'm guessing if you cut too many industry experts out -- the contest would only have a handful of entrants...
