Mets Sign Wright to 6-Year Extension

Just got word that the Mets have signed David Wright to a 6-year extension worth $55 million. Got to commend Minaya for locking up both Reyes & Wright now. Mets lineup should be solid for years to come!


Collecting 1970s Topps baseball wax, rack and cello packs, as well as PCGS graded Half Cents, Large Cents, Two Cent pieces and Three Cent Silver pieces.

    That's good news. But, for the Mets to have a solid future, we need some good young pitchers.

    Pelfry looks to have a huge upside and John Maine threw 6 more scoreless innings tonight to run his scoreless streak now to 23 straight. When Zito becomes available in the off season, I expect Minaya to make a strong push for him, too. He's got a knack for getting the deal done.

    6 year extension for a reported 55 million. That's a pretty great deal in my book. I believe there is a club option for another season as well, not sure about that though.

    As long as the Mets are committed to winning Wright should be an all-star for years to come.
