How do you know if this is PF or not? Also another question!!

I was handed a 1969-S Jefferson nickel and I don't know how to tell if it is proof or not, It's in pretty bad condition but I don't know if there is any easy way to tell or not. If you want, just ask me and i'll get a picture up. I just think it would be cool to find a proof nickel at a drive-thru

Check the steps. If they're full, it's likely a proof. If they look like a wheel chair ramp, a business strike.

I got a clad proof 98' quarter in change from a local bar last year. Maybe someone raided their dad's coins for beer.

Not off-center. One part of the rim would be gone to qualify.
