Finally!

Here I was waiting patiently for email notification of my grades to arrive, and lo and behold my completed cards showed up in the mailbox. I did the Sumbmission Staus, and sure enough, the grades had popped. Better late than never, I guess.

Anyway, I'm pretty happy with the grades. The Bossy was a GAI 8.5 in a previous life, and I was expecting the 8. That's a a super tough card for my Master set.

I'm now just 2 cards away from finally completing my Venorlandus set image

    Thanx for the scans pd

    I especially like the Ali.

Is the Bossy tough to find in 9? I think it looks very good!

VERY nice job on the '81 Topps. That set is definitely underrated as far as difficulty goes IMO.

No kidding. These were the last submissions from a series of 4 vending boxes I had purchased. Each box averaged only 6-8 submittable cards. Boo, do you have any experience with wax for this set?

Mike, there are no PSA 9's graded to date. This is only the 3rd or 4th PSA 8 in existence.

6-8 cards? Mike, you didn't do that badly then. I cracked a couple vending boxes years ago and got nada. As far as wax goes I haven't made the plunge== I may later, but it's so expensive and the quality control people in the Topps hockey division back then make the early '80's Donruss people look like a bunch of control freaks. Everytime I think about trying it I get visions of 520 OC cards and I wimp out.

I have 4 of those wax boxes in my stash. 2 east coast and 2 west coast. I also have singles from about 2 or 3 boxes somewhere in my attic. I had them all since 1981 and were basically opened and put directly into boxes and forgotten about. Maybe I should rip a few packs from the boxes.
