[Poll]What would you grade this coin?

Hey guys this is a 1989-S Deep Cameo Proof quarter, I was just wondering what some of you would grade it.
Your input would be much appreciated.

  • Oh and by the way it is in a little cardboard holder thing, so there is a small dust collection in the plastic layer, so that affects the pic a little bit.

There is absolutely no way to grade a Proof coin accurately from images. In most cases, the grade is affected significantly/determined by the extent of hairlines on the surfaces and that can't be seen in (even excellent) images.

Sorry, but the photos are of too poor a quality to make a grading guess.

Lambeau: It appears to be an attractive looking Cameo Proof Quarter, but I cannot even guess-timate a grade based upon the images provided.

looks nice but it nearly impossible to grade a proof from images and harder to tell a 69 from a 70.

None of the above. It's a proof and you only list MS grades as possible answers!
  • since no one wants to gamble and give you a grade I wil bb at ha

    Can tell from pictures.

  • Shouldn't your listing be "PR" not "MS"
  • Oh yeah, sorry I guess it should be PR, I'm really new at collecting and am trying to absorb everything you guys say. Thanks for your help so far.

And by the way, is PR the same grading level or w/e as MS, it just means proof instead of mint state?

Pr68dcam, an absolute guess, never graded quarters, just morgans.

  • You can't grade proofs from photos, you have to get a loupe and look for the hairlines image
What do you think, Mr. Bigglesworth?

  • I wouldn't grade it MS nottin'!

Not a coin worth grading. You would be better off buying an already graded PF69 DCAM off Ebay for $10 if you wanted one in a slab. That would be the cheaper route.

With an image of that size, you shouldn't be able to tell an PR-68 from a PR-70. If you can see anything at that size, PR-67 or less.

And of course the glare doesn't help here.
    Philately will get you nowhere....
