I picked up a real pretty attractive 5 D from 1966 and 1971... are these tough in MS65 and higher? ANY THOUGHTS?

The '71 is the tougher probably though it lists a little lower in the '07 Krause. In
true gem the '66 might be tougher. The prices are low on these because demand
is still pretty thin. While the coins exist probably in numbers approaching the tens
of thousands the demand is low.

Of course circulated versions are common in poundage and many are fairly attractive
so these will hold down unc prices.
