Klondike Dollars

Does anyone have information or links on Edmonton Klondike Dollars. I picked up some today at a garage sale. They look to be from 1969 to 1978 or so. Some sort of trade token I think. Any knowledge would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

They were struck every year from '68 to '86 (inc) and with various "mintmarks". These include
cane, hat, pick, and shovel. Mintages are often substantial with as many as 200,000 being made.
There are numerous low mintage and rare pieces as well.

There also exists at least one issue not listed by Cote in his 1990 Pocket Guide to Canadian Trade
    Tokens.

These "coins" are avidly collected by a small number of collectors. They are often traded and low
mintage ones can bring prices up to $100.

Sounds interesting. How about some pics to educate the clueless (like me)?
