CrossOver -OR- CrackOut?? I need to get them is PCGS Plastic for my Registry Set. I really wanna dip that 1883-O and the 1896!!

No problem if you want to join the Registry-- I must say I think it's nuts to crackout a MS65 GEM--even a 83O---I'd trade it for a nice white PCGS MS64 if that what you want.

why on earth would you crack em and spend more money to put them in a PCGS slab?

Just buy them slabbed in PCGS.

Depends upon what you're trying to accomplish.

If it's to verify that you think the coins are undergraded, then crackout is the way to go because it makes the PCGS graders give the coins an unbiased (holderwise) look.

It it's to upgrade the score and value of the coins, then I'd consider only the 1880 and 1880-O, since a 1-point change in either one would more than pay for the cost of grading.

If it's a learning experience to see how similarly NGC and PCGS grade and it's worth $18 each to you to find out, then crack 'em.
