Eye Ball Find

I haven't got out with the detector in August yet but I did have a nice Eye Ball find on my four mile walk this morning. I found a nice picture of Andrew Jackson and a penny. That was worth the walk.

This picture of Andy Jackson- was it on a piece of currency, by chance?

If so, I'd say it was definitely worth the walk.

Yes, It was on a piece of currency. I'm looking for U.S. Grant or Ben Franklin now.
  • Very nice. You must have "the trained, treasure-hunter eyes."

My wife says the same thing. I tell here that it's like looking for arrowheads. You just look for the color or material not the whole thing.

I hate to do this to you PPC, but two weeks ago my daughter and I stopped into a local convenience store for a bottle of badly needed wine (don't ask, it's a long story) and as is my habit, if I see a penny on the floor/ground I bend over to pick it up. It's good excercize if you don't bend your knees, but anyhow...She nudged me, and I waited the common comment "mom, please don't embarass me..." but this time, the nudge was followed by a bare whisper of "pick up the picture of Ben while you're there mom!!!" Sure enough, laying 2 inches from the penny, was a brand spanking new $100.00 bill. We waited for 2 weeks in the event someone asked the store manager if any money was found, then we went shoe shopping. Life is good image

That picture of Ben is a great find. Congrats on your find. Actually that was a thread that I was thinking about starting. "How many people have found a $100 bill?" When you come across paper money it's almost like it doesn't look real laying there.

I completely agree about paper money not looking real when you first see it on the ground. I checked this bill 6 ways to Sunday to make sure it was real before spending it!

I was at the town pool today and found $15 bucks on the ground. A short time later, I see a sad faced kid looking around by the picnic tables. I said "lose something ?" He said "$15 bucks" I said "thats funny, i found 15 bucks", He was very happy to say the least.

I found 100.00 once it was behind the grey stuff on a ticket.

How much fun is that!! I'm not one to buy scratch tickets regularly, but every now and then I'll take chance. I feel lucky to win my buck back!

  • when i was much younger, me and my brother were looking through old books in my parents garage. my brother opened an old bible and found a $100 in the middle. neither of my parents knew how it got there. maybe a gift from god...

I scooped up a ten spot in the parking lot at work a couple weeks ago. It bought me lunch that weekend.
