Another argument for not closing your auctions early

This coin was at $299.00 with no bids with 30 seconds to go

The auction is for a 1997-P cent struck on a struck dime, which the seller says he got in change. I didn't have the nerve to bid on it with such a low-feedback seller, though I do think the coin in the pictures is genuine. However, four people did step up, all in the last 25 seconds. I know a couple of the underbidders but not the winner, too bad as I'm curious now to see if this deal goes through.

Good deal, unquestionably genuine. Should have gone for at least 50% higher, I think. Maybe I should start watching the errors category more closely again...

Seller says he's selling to make ends meet. Things must be really really tough, he's even selling a typewriter!
