Update on 1895-0 submission

A couple of months ago I asked here on the forums if I should submit an 1895-0 that was almost worn slick. Kryptonitecomics mentioned that if it came back P01, it would be worth the effort because a few people actually collect these, (CarsonCityGold has a nice collection). It came back FR02 image. But that's allright, after I got it back I decided to keep it. It looks kind of cool. Thanks for your suggestions!

    Congrats - 1's are very few and far between right now - a 2 is a nice score and a whole lot better than a BB. image

    Glad you're going to keep it as is. I think collecting slabbed PO-1 coins is kinda cool in a counterculture way, but I'd hate to think of people intentionally wearing down old, classic coins in order to get that grade. I feel that as owners, we are but temporary custodians and caretakers of our coins and that it's our moral obligation to protect and preserve them as much as possible for the next generation.
