2004P Iowa "extra student" State Quarter?

Had to wait til I got home to use the loupe for a good look.

Rec'd in change it has the normal 5 figures of people plus what appears to be a 6th at the left corner of the school house.
Similar in size and shape to the child holding "teacher's" hand but not as detailed. There's no left arm or leg.
Almost like he/she is peeking around the corner.

Has anyone seen this on other Iowa quarters?

    Cool. Sounds like another DDR.

I've heard rumors of this one. I think Numis News printed something but no picture.

I beg to differ. Varieties are often the spice of modern collecting. Everyone won't
be interested in them and they don't have to collect them but it's nice having scarce
and rare coins to collect as well as scarce and rare grades. It's also nice to find val-
uable an interesting coins in circulation.

This could be more like bringing a horse to life than beating it without cause.

I agree. It's great for the kids, people who like coins but can't afford big buck coins (both of which I am) and the hobby in general.
    Keep 'em coming.

Post a scan when you can.

It's good to see crispy is still here. I used to confuse him with BigAlan since they used the same avatar.

Maybe you can call it the "No Child Left Behind Variety".
