The Wait is Over

Finally! Grades from 6/9 just posted. On the balance I'm fairly pleased with this lot, although I'm still trying to figure out who in the hell Pedro Munoz is (see card 79), and why I submitted one of his cards.

    Boo:

Nice going, especially the '74 OPC Richard Martin. Did you pick up those '74 OPC at the Toronto Expo in May? I recall that you said you were making the trek to Toronto in search of cards from that set.

Yeah, the '74's are fantastic-- I'm really pleased with those. As you probably know the '74 OPC is probably the hardest post-1970 hockey set to find in collector grade condition, so I'm thrilled with those 7's and 8's. The Richard Martin is a bonus.

Funny thing-- I didn't loupe anything in this whole lot. Over 95% of all the non-hockey stuff is 1/1's, so I figured why even bother? Just get 'em graded and see what happens. And, of course, I end up doing better on this sub then my other one, where I probably agonized over every card for about 5 minutes. image

I am actively buying MIKE SCHMIDT gem mint baseball cards. Also looking for any 19th century cabinets of Philadephia Nationals. Please PM with additional details.

    So long
I've been looking too hard, I've waiting too long
Sometimes I don't know what I will find
I only know it's a matter of time
    When you love someone
    When you love someone

It feels so right, so warm and true
I need to know if you feel it too

    Maybe I'm wrong
Won't you tell me if I'm coming on too strong?
This heart of mine has been hurt before
This time I wanna be sure

I've been waiting for a girl like you
    To come into my life
I've been waiting for a girl like you
    A love that will survive
I've been waiting for someone new
    To make me feel alive
Yeah, waiting for a girl like you
    To come into my life

    You're so good
When we make love it's understood
It's more than a touch or a word we say
Only in dreams could it be this way
    When you love someone
    Yeah, really love someone

    Now, I know it's right
From the moment I wake up till deep in the night
There's no where on earth that I'd rather be
    Than holding you, tenderly

I've been waiting for a girl like you
    To come into my life
I've been waiting for a girl like you
And a love that will survive
I've been waiting for someone new
    To make me feel alive
Yeah, waiting for a girl like you
    To come into my life

I've been waiting, waiting for you, ooh
    Ooh, I've been waiting
    I've been waiting, yeah
I've been waiting for a girl like you
    I've been waiting
Won't you come into my life?
    My life?

The waiting is the hardest part
Every day you see one more card
You take it on faith, you take it to the heart
The waiting is the hardest part!
