Agreed. The price gets me... $3,000 plus shipping. And to think I was throwing money away.

I kind of like it. That being said I wouldn't pay 20 bucks for it.
    Collect Ozzie Guillen Cards
    Unique Chicago Cards
    Wrestling Cards
  • If opened, those Fleer Ultra packs ought to yield about 250 Tim Tuefuls, with at least 7 worthy of a 10.....

stupid , not the idea but the price. if you want one spend 5 bucks on the packs and buy a frame and you can glue them in yourself.

Would it be worth any more if it were unopened packs of that s hit product as opposed to just the wrappers?
I am actively buying MIKE SCHMIDT gem mint baseball cards. Also looking for any 19th century cabinets of Philadephia Nationals. Please PM with additional details.

My favorite part of auctions like these is that they want to charge shipping on top of the gavel price. As if someone wouldn't be doing you a favor by taking this off your hands for 20% of the BIN price.

I have seen it all now. He could have done it cheaper if he used actual Topps cards from the late 80's. Could have grabbed a vending box for $20.
  • That's really creative. Maybe we're looking at the next Andy Warhol....

Finally, there's a profitable way to dispose of early '90s junk! (Assuming he sells it- for any price.)
  • I remember opening a ton of those Donruss packs. A few of the Diamond Kings like Dave Justice were a big deal then. Damn near everyone I knew used to troll the big box and larger drug stores looking for them. If the pack conained a DK it would be in the back facing inward with a dark blue border. So......it became a common, but very wrong, thing to take an exacto blade and carefully cut a small slit on the back corner. If you saw white you left it, dark blue, you bought it. I ain't saying it was right, I was about 12 at the time and every other kid I knew was up to it. If I'm not mistaken one series came in navy blue foil packs and the other came in a crimson red color?
Everything I write is my opinion.

    Looking for alot of crap.

I also think it's a nice piece of art. I don't know to much about framing, but that frame is probably worth a few hundred.

Thanks for the idea coolshapiro image
