Which dates typically realize more than PCGS retail price guide?

Ok folks, fun new topic here that I'm sure will generate a lot of responses. Although what you typically see on eBay is coins selling for 80% or so of the PCGS retail price, what coins have you noticed in the last year or two that always seem to realize bids greater than what's listed in the PCGS price guide? I'm specifically interested in coins of the 1st half of the 20th Century, such as Lincolns, Standing Liberty quarters, Washington quarters, Mercury dimes, and Jefferson nickels.

I'll give an example. For some reason, 1942-D Washingtons in PCGS MS66 seem to regularly go for over the PCGS retail price of $135, by about $20 or so. Mercurys from the 1930's tend to do really well too.

Thanks, 39Special
