Heaven forbid that these boards should ever be used for promotion of any sort. At least I won't benefit in any way, and David Lange certainly didn't ask me to start this thread.

Thanks for working closely with me, Hayden, to coordinate this well managed promotion. >>
I knew it! I knew it! We'll be seeing "album toned" coins everywhere now followed by a new Lange book "album toned coins, complete with pricing guide".

And this after Anaconda's post pertaining to a Whitman album and an oven!
I have a signed copy of David's "The Complete Guide to Mercury Dimes". He is very approachable at shows. I think he is one of the great new numismatists.
What a speciality! Coin boards. I would have never thought of that!

After my slabbook came out I had a nice exchange of eMails with David discussing the NGC history and dates for the different NGC slab issues. As part of the conversation we talked about his coin board collection and he said that my book was encourageing him to write something similar dealing with the old coin boards and holders. So we may see a book of some kind on them. I'd like that.
The site looks pretty good. It's nice to see someone collecting something that they really think is cool, rather than what the Registry says is cool.

I've known Dave for many, many years, and sold him more than a few of the ancient coin boards. Great guy. TD

I can't believe you beat RYK and Longacre in publicizing this well-managaed promotion!
(But on the other hand, David did just post it across the street.)
