Ok Modern (2006 Satin Finish) submitters....What GEMS/Dogs do you predict??
![Manorcourtman](https://us.v-cdn.net/6027503/uploads/authoricons/garden.2002 017.jpg)
Here are my observations. The ultra GEMS I've seen are few and far between but they are in the State quarters series. The State quarters that have the best shot at 70 are Nebraska (p), and Colorado ( p and d). They are common in GEM. The toughest GEM's are the Lincoln's in my opinion. They are spotted in many cases like the business strikes. I am actually surprised that I found several Roosie's from Denver in GEM status. Overall the 2006 sets are average. I would expect very few 70's. What say you??

I've been waiting to see the Pre-Sale listing on the BST forum for them ALL in MS68/69
Did I miss it
<< <i>The D mint Kennedy will be tough in 69 if at all AGAIN! A couple quarters also probably won't bemade in 70, again from Denver. They USED to bet better, what ahppened? Ray >>
I think 69(d) Kennedy halves are going to be made. The Denver mint is going to produce more gems this year than last but quality is still not job one!! I'd be surprised to see Denver minted North and South Dakota quarters in 70 but who knows whats out there at this point.
Lincoln P mint were all very nice
Lincoln D mints all had spots
Jefferson P mints--found a few gem coins. Only 1 that was a lock MS-69. Not as nice as the P mint Bisons.
Jefferson D mints- didn't find any coins that would grade MS-69. Found a few MS-68's.
Roosevelts: They were similar to last year. There will be lots of MS-69's.
Washington Quarters: On the P mints there will be lots of MS-69's on the Colorado and Nebraska. South Dakota will be a little tougher but not rare. North Dakota will be very tough. Nebraska will be impossible.
D mints: The quality of all 5 coins were similar. I think MS-68's won't be hard to find. I think MS-69's will be tough.
Kennedy Halves. The P mints were awesome on the obverse but all had that scratch on the reverse shield. I think the mint pays people to sit there all day and scratch the field. I did find one coin that had a clean shield that will hopefully grade MS-69.
I agree what others have said about the D mints. Better then last year but they can do better.
The Sacs were not nice. I was very dissapointed. Lots of MS-67's but who cares.
Sent my coins to PCGS Tuesday so in a month or two I'll know how I did.
<< <i>Any more predictions now that first results are back? >>
The second results will be back next?
Later, Paul.
Later, Paul.
<< <i>From what I see the Roosevelt dime in MS69FB/SF has been made in quantity for both the P & D. '05-D is VERY HARD to obtain in this grade, so its already better then last year! Later, Paul. >>
Paul,
The dimes are very nice this year indeed. Not common, but obtainable in 69FB, especially on the D. We haven't had our results back, but we expect the same as what you've already seen out there.

The P Pennies apparently were either given all to one person or more than likely, there will be more 70s than last year. Whoever paid $1,000 a piece for the 06P-1c-70RD was a little hasty. If I make as many as sold last week, they won't be that much.
As mentioned, another major change is that the D-Kennedy-69SF apparently is made and will be made. Very spendy though. P-Kennedy is very hit and miss too with the bad shield as mentioned by others.
As everyone has seen so far, many submitters have been shafted in the 69 department for State Quarters. Several have made just a few of the easier coins in MS69SF, some 68s and a bunch of 67s. The 70's will indeed be few and far in between on the quarters. The pop report will update on Monday, to show all the 68's and 69's that have been made. Just to give you a point of reference, if they were 2005's, there would be 2x the 69's on the population as what you will see on Monday. The State Quarters on average are tougher this year.
Sacagawea looks very similar to last year, but also very hit and miss. The Mint destroyed a lot more of the Ps this year and the Ds have spots, so time will tell. The price will come down from the current asking prices for the P-Mints. Pairs of 68's will likely be affordable to the people that are buying the 2005's currently.

That's my $5.82 worth anyway,
(Edited To Add: None of the coins show on the normal pop report. Try this: 1999-Current Mint Set )

It would have been cheaper to buy two MS69FS in the market than the route I went. I was hoping for a 2006D in MS69FS. So basically 1 in 40 coins graded MS69FS.
Does anyone live in North Florida who wants to split mint sets next year? All I'm interested in is the Jeffersons.
